Specifically, OYOH intends to help patients, families, caregivers, other social support systems, health care settings, and communities learn the skills and have the tools necessary to help someone take ownership of their health and healthcare. Key Theoretical Approaches to Our Work
TiffanyNoelle Martin Brown, PhD, CSP
Dr. Brown received her doctorate in Sociology with an emphasis in Medical Sociology and specialization in Health Policy from the University of California San Francisco (UCSF). She is also certified by the Association for Applied and Clinical Sociology as a Sociological Practitioner in Community Health. Dr. Brown is a graduate of the Colorado Family Leadership Training Institute (FLTI) and was a fellow with the Bighorn Health Policy Leadership Program. She also has a Certificate in Patient Navigation. Her work is published in journals such a Health Affairs and the Journal of the American Board of Family Medicine. She is also trained as a holistic practitioner certified as a Reiki Master and in the AromaTouchTechnique. She is a Wellness Consultant with dōTERRA Essential Oils. She founded Own Your Own Health as a way to help patients and families be informed health consumer with a voice in their healthcare and their health behaviors.

Rhonda Blain - Treasurer
Rhonda is an avid student of health and wellness issues and has been a caregiver to a handful of family members as they walked through significant health challenges and terminal illnesses. Rhonda has a passion for empowering all people to "Own Your Own Health" in whatever way is meaningful for that person. To that end, she loves to volunteer and be involved with the mission of Own Your Own Health and is always looking for ways to get the message out to everyone about what Own Your Own Health can offer. She is also a real estate broker as her chosen career and works with buyers and sellers up and down the Front Range. Health, wellness, longevity, anti-aging and real estate are the highest on her list of passions!
September Burton - Secretary
September is a chef, Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, and mom of 4. She began her career as a personal chef, then turned her attention to studying holistic nutrition. She started The Fertile Chef where works with couples who are struggling to get pregnant, helping them improve their cooking skills and increasing their nutrition so their bodies will be ready to conceive their baby. She has been in Colorado Springs nearly 4 years and loves taking her kids to Garden of the Gods and Manitou Springs. She also enjoys yoga and creating new recipes in her free time.
