Grilling is a healthy option, but can also be dangerous.
Many of these tips are no brainers… but it’s worth the reminder to ensure you have a safe holiday!
Great party tips for healthier treats!
Think of healthy foods that are red, white, and blue.
Red: Strawberries, watermelon, cherries, red peppers, tomatoes, red cabbage, red grapes, red apples, cranberries, radishes, pomegranates, rhubarb, raspberries, beets, sugar-free jello
White: Bananas, pears, apples, radishes, onions, artichokes, mushrooms, potatoes, cauliflower, white corn, sugar-free pudding, angel food cake
Blue: blueberries, blackberries, cabbage, currants, sugar-free jello

Safe Grilling Tips
Propane and charcoal grills should only be used outdoors.
The grill should be placed well away from the home, deck railings and out from under eaves and overhang branches.
Keep children and pets away from the grill.
Keep your grill clean by removing grease or fat buildup from the grills and in trays below the grill.
Never leave your grill unattended.
Check the gas tank for leaks before using it by apply a light soap and water solution to the hose. A propane leak will make bubbles.
We are looking for people to serve on our Patient and Family Advisory Committee which helps us review consumer materials and provides us with feedback with health issues that matter to you here locally. The time commitment is completely up to you. This could include coming to focus groups to give us feedback to reviewing a product and emailing us your response. You could do it one time or on an ongoing basis. Please email us if you are interested.
